The Dust Houses and Powder Barn
Wells Developments undertook a complete restoration and conversion of two derelict farm buildings for us. The first property known as The Dust Houses is a 2200 sq ft stone built renovation and conversion to a single dwelling of two farm cottages originally built in 1866. The property had stood empty for some 50 years before work commenced and required a near total rebuild.
The second property, The Powder Barn was completed in 2011 and is a conversion of a derelict barn and adjacent cattle sheds. Constructed in stone and brick the property now forms a four bedroom, 3500 sq ft dwelling with accompanying stable block. Wells Developments undertook all of the reconstruction and building work and project managed both restorations from start to finish with exceptional care and a flare for innovation. Having previously purchased a house built by the company, we knew we could trust who we were dealing with. This was incredibly important as the project was a large and long term investment for us. Today we have a beautiful and unique home brought back to life by the expert hands of Dave Wells and his great team.
